Rama Rama Records Gettin in My Way Again

Rama was one of George Goldner's labels, founded in New York February 14, 1953. Almost exactly 4 years later, it was sold to Morris Levy of Roulette Records. Although Rama is most famous for the rock and roll single "Gee" by the Crows, the album side of the label was essentially jazz (1000 series) or pop music typical of the mid-1950s (5000 series). The Rama label was dark blue with silver print (far left). The top fourth of the label was mostly silver with "RAMA" in blue shaded with silver. Promotional copies had white labels with black print (near left).
